When is the MACH 1 Adventure Run?
Saturday, June 11th, 2016 – Gates open at 7AM, waves start at 8AM.

How much does it cost?
Individuals: Anywhere from $35 to $65 depending on when you register
Teams of 4 info: $120 to $240 depending on when you register
Parking: $5
Registration: Coming Soon

How long is the run?
Just over a 5k, more than 3 miles…less than 4.  Elevation remains pretty consistent throughout the course, but there are small hills and valleys along the way.

When will it start?
The first wave will start at 8:00 A.M. promptly for HIGHLY COMPETITIVE RUNNERS ONLY. Waves will start every 15 minutes after that.  Your wave start time will be assigned to you when you register, and will be assigned on a “first come, first served” basis.

When should I arrive on race day?
We recommend that you arrive at least one hour before your wave start time.  Remember that you will have to park, walk, possibly register, check your bag, attach your bib, and make your way to the starting line.  Leave enough time to accomplish everything so you aren’t rushed.

I’m not that athletic.  Can I still run?
This is an extreme foot race built to challenge you in a number of ways.  There are always risks when participating in any sporting event like this.  That being said, the point is to HAVE FUN!  We’ve taken every precaution to ensure that the course is safe for all participants, and you can complete it at your own pace.  If you can’t complete an obstacle, you can skip it and move on.  All we ask is that you give it your best shot and prove to yourself and the rest of us how tough you really are!

What do I need to bring?
Bring your valid photo ID, $5 cash for parking, additional cash for food and beer, appropriate footwear that you don’t mind destroying, and plenty of guts and determination.  You’ll also need your initialed, signed, and dated waiver if you are picking up your packet that day.

What should I leave at home?
No outside alcoholic beverages, weapons, guns, or bad attitudes will be allowed or tolerated.  You are responsible for anything left in your car as well, so only bring what you need.

Will there be photos taken?
Yes.  Our official Mach 1 photographers will be taking photos.  Photos will be posted within a week.

What type of race timing system will you use?
Mach 1 is no longer a timed event.  We can assist you in timing if you leave at your properly assigned wave time and alert us when you cross the finish.

I’ve never run an adventure run, what makes it different from a regular 5k?
A LOT!  This course contains professionally built obstacles to run, crawl and jump through.  Expect to get dirty and expect a challenge.  You will also have a FANTASTIC time!

Will you have a bag check at the venue?
Yes.  You can check in a small bag with your belongings and it will be supervised.  You will receive a claim check that you’ll need to reclaim your things after the race.

What if it rains?
If only we are that lucky!  The event will happen rain or shine.  This time of year is typically sunny and warm, so bring sunblock.

Can we wear costumes in the run?
Go for it! We encourage you to get as creative as you want. Just make sure the costume does not impair your vision, prevent you from breathing normally, or can potentially make you trip or get snagged on an obstacle. We only ask that you actually WEAR something.  Nudity is not a costume!!!

Do you have VIP entries?
No. Everyone is treated like a VIP at our race.  We’ll have plenty of seating and shade.

Will you have food and beverages available for sale?
Yes, the Gourmet Food Trucks will offer a variety of food options. Food and beverage sales start at 7:00AM. Beer will be available from 10:00 AM. No outside alcoholic beverages will be allowed into the festival area.

Will you have a beer garden?
Absolutely!  Bring a valid ID showing that you are 21 or over and we’ll hook you up with a wristband to consume alcohol in the designated beer garden. Enjoying a cold beer is a great part of Mach 1, but please do not even think about drinking and driving. If you need a ride or a cab, just go to the Registration Booth at the main entrance and ask!

Are kids allowed to come into the beer garden areas?
Children under the age of 12 must be accompanied by an adult at all times.  Only those individuals 21 or over displaying the proper wristband will be allowed to purchase or be in the possession of alcohol.  Any person not wearing a wristband that is seen with alcohol will have the beverage taken away and be asked to leave immediately.

How much does it cost to get into the event to just watch?
Free, but there is a $5 charge for parking.

Will you have entertainment after the race?
Yes, music, food, beer, and more.  It will be going on throughout the day.  Roughhouse Coverband will hit the stage at 10AM and rock the finish line with rock and classic rock favorites!

What do I get?
A limited edition MACH 1 T-Shirt, an awesome MACH 1 Mud Wings Medal, and a chance to have the best day of your life!

Where is early packet pick up?
We will be at UFC Gym off the 91 Freeway at McKinley.  It is in the shopping center North of the 91 next to Costco.  We will be there Thursday 6/9 from 11AM to 7PM and Friday 6/10 from 11AM to 7PM.  We HIGHLY recommend that you pick your packet up before race day as lines can get very long the morning of the run.

Are dogs allowed at the MACH 1 Mud Run?
The City of Corona doesn’t allow dogs at any of their events, therefore you cannot bring your dog this time.  Service animals are allowed as permitted by local, state and federal law.

Can I volunteer?
Yes, and we appreciate the help. Please email us at MudRunMach1@gmail.com and let us know how you’d like to participate.
